DHL Express, global provider of international express transport services, will increase its rates in Spain by 5.9% starting January 1, 2027, as the company has communicated.
The company explains that its cost structure continues to be affected by elements such as the rising cost of energy, regulatory compliance requirements, and administrative expenses linked to the evolution of customs, regulatory, and security measures set by national and international authorities.
Along with this, the effect of inflation is compounded by "the continuous pressures of the labor market" in many countries, which also drives up its operating costs.
"This annual rate adjustment allows us to maintain the high level of service and reliability that our customers expect, while we continue to strengthen the resilience and adaptability of our global operations," the company defends.
DHL Express emphasizes that it maintains its investment commitment in the global logistics network, in fleet renewal programs, in strengthening its digital capabilities, and in improving its operational resilience. Among the most recent milestones, it cites the completion of deliveries of its fleet of 28 Boeing 777 cargo planes, the incorporation of aircraft with greater fuel efficiency, and the expansion and upgrading of infrastructures in different regions of the world.
At the same time, DHL Express is enhancing its technological and IT infrastructure with the aim of strengthening cybersecurity, increasing the resilience of its systems, improving shipment visibility, and optimizing the efficiency of its operations.
