Green Industry Machines & Materials, belonging to the CapCapital group and one of the selected bidders in the sale process of Tubos Reunidos, has conveyed to the works councils of the three plants its intention to hold meetings, according to union sources told Europa Press.

Specifically, the company has communicated to the representatives of the factories in Trapagaran, Amurrio and Nanclares de la Oca its intention to formally introduce itself and present the industrial plan it proposes for the company. According to the same sources, the schedule has not yet been finalized nor has a firm date been set for those meetings.

In this way, Green Industry Machines & Materials, integrated into the CapCapital group, is among the five candidates that have been chosen to advance to the next phase of the divestment process. It was recently learned that the Indian group Welspun is also part of the bidders and had called the Trapagaran committee to a meeting scheduled for last Monday, which was finally postponed in order to clarify the situation regarding the debt of the Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI).

This Tuesday, the Industry minister, Mikel Jauregi, warned that, if there is no debt write-off by SEPI, the possible investors could withdraw from the procedure, and advanced that this Wednesday a meeting was scheduled between SEPI and the five bidders involved in the operation.
