Nexus Energía has updated and expanded its green financing framework with the aim of supporting storage projects, renewable energies, and energy efficiency, as the company stated in a statement released this Thursday.
This revision continues the first green financing framework that the company presented in 2024 and sets the conditions under which Nexus Energía will be able to channel resources towards initiatives with a positive environmental impact through new green financing instruments.
The document will serve as a basis for both the current green promissory note program and for future operations that may include bonds, loans, or other forms of sustainable financing.
In addition, the new framework broadens the range of activities that can qualify for green financing, aligning it with the evolution of the company's business. Thus, projects related to self-consumption installation, wind generation, or energy storage, among others, become eligible.
The financial director of Nexus, Albert Rams, has explained that this renewal "represents a further step in the integration of sustainability" within the financial and business strategy.
