The Future Investment Initiative (FII), the international forum nicknamed "the Davos of the desert" that is held annually in Riyadh and brings together leaders, visionaries, and innovators from around the globe to analyze the future of global investment, has decided to postpone its tenth edition until 2027, initially scheduled for the days October 26 to 29, 2026.
Although Saudi authorities have not publicly explained the reasons for this change in schedule, the announcement to move the meeting to next year comes after the attack carried out by the Houthis against King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on October 10.
In a statement released this Monday, Saudi Princess Maha bint Mishari Al Saud, CEO of the FII Institute, has confirmed the postponement of the meeting, which will celebrate its tenth anniversary next year, without new dates being specified at this time.
"This decision arises from a deep commitment to our partners, members, speakers, and delegates. Since this is our tenth edition, we want to ensure that it offers the magnitude, extraordinary quality, and unforgettable impact that our community expects and undoubtedly deserves," she states.
