Skyscanner has launched Packages, a new solution that allows users to locate and compare holiday packages from multiple providers on a single platform, at a time when searches for this type of trip have risen by 21% during the peak booking season, according to the company’s internal data.
This feature, available on both desktop and mobile, offers daily access to 11 million packages from providers such as Expedia, Lastminute, Trip and Sembo. It makes it possible to compare combinations of flights and hotels and apply filters based on each traveler’s preferences. Once the desired option is selected, the user is redirected to the provider’s website to complete the booking.
The launch comes in parallel with a rise in interest in organized vacations. According to a Skyscanner study, 46% of Spanish travelers value booking a holiday package this year, while 42% highlight the convenience of making a single booking as the main reason for choosing this option.
The trend is especially visible among younger travelers. 50% of millennials are more inclined to book a holiday package in 2026, compared with 41% of the 'baby boomers'.
Among the most-mentioned reasons are the convenience of centralizing the booking and the reduction of planning stress, both cited by 36% of millennials, as well as the ease of managing transportation and accommodation together, noted by 32%.
Among the proposals highlighted by Skyscanner are seven-night packages in Tenerife from 674 euros per person and in Lanzarote from 657 euros, as well as four-night city breaks to Budapest from 532 euros and to Paris from 538 euros, along with other destinations.
