The company Sotogrande has announced its Sustainability Plan 2030, a global roadmap that sets measurable goals in energy efficiency, responsible resource management, and employment, after closing the 2025 fiscal year with a turnover of 138 million euros.

With this plan, the firm aims to strengthen the positioning of the Cádiz enclave as a leading destination in Europe for sustainable residential tourism, relying on a 50% cut in its emissions and a 25% reduction in water consumption before the end of the decade.

The project, the result of two years of work and internal evaluation, transforms a trajectory of more than sixty years into a strategic framework organized according to ESG (environmental, social, and governance) criteria.

In the environmental field, the report includes advances already achieved in 2025 compared to the data from 2023, including a 23% reduction in water use and a 3% drop in electricity demand.

Additionally, the photovoltaic power in operation at the complex increased by 170% in the last year, rising from 330 kWp to 890 kWp following the commissioning of the solar plant of the Hotel SO/ Sotogrande.

This installation produced 618 MWh of energy for self-consumption during 2025, avoiding the emission of around 270 tons of CO2.

Looking ahead to 2030, the environmental objectives include cutting energy consumption by 20%, ensuring that more than 60% of the energy used comes from renewable sources, achieving a recycling rate of 65%, and reducing waste sent to landfill to below 10%.

Job Stability and Economic Dynamization

In the social sphere, the group has a workforce of 424 professionals, of which 95% have stable contracts, a noteworthy proportion given the marked seasonality of the tourism sector.

Throughout 2025, the company provided 11,119 hours of training (26.2 hours per person, 34% more than the previous year) in areas such as artificial intelligence, sustainability, and digital transformation, with the aim of exceeding 30 hours annually per worker in the medium term.

The Sotogrande ecosystem currently integrates about 7,000 private properties, 300 linked companies, and 2,500 permanent residential homes with an international profile.

To ensure compliance with the goals of the 2030 Plan, the entity has created a Sustainability Committee and has launched a Balanced Scorecard that will periodically audit the degree of progress of the defined indicators.
