The Council of Ministers has agreed this Tuesday to authorize a voluntary contribution from Spain to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in the amount of 249,000 euros corresponding to the 2026 financial year.
As approved, this amount will be used to support two OECD lines of work: 149,000 euros will be directed to the program "Tax Inspectors Without Borders" (TIWB 2.0) and 100,000 euros will be allocated to strengthening the statistical measurement of Official Development Assistance carried out by the organization.
At the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4), held in Seville in July 2025, the "Seville Commitment" was adopted, which underscores the importance of intensifying the mobilization of domestic resources and of improving the quality, transparency and availability of the data needed to guide sustainable development policies and assess their results.
This contribution is integrated into the implementation of those commitments through support for two OECD work programs that advance in a complementary manner towards those aims: on the one hand, strengthening the fiscal capacities of developing countries and, on the other, the accurate measurement of official development assistance flows.
