The Council of Ministers has given the green light to a Royal Decree that launches and regulates the organizing committee of "Spain Guest Country of Hannover Messe 2027", which will function as a collegiate interministerial body attached to the Secretariat of State for Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Tourism.
Hannover Messe, considered one of the most relevant industrial fairs globally, will take place from April 5 to 8, 2027. The event anticipates an impact on 4,000 companies and the attendance of 125,000 visitors from more than 150 countries.
The Ministry of Industry and Tourism will be responsible for the launch and coordination of the official program, as well as the design and production of the guest country's pavilion, the organization of events, business meetings, and conferences that serve to highlight the capabilities of Spanish industry.
Given the special relevance of this event, an organizing committee is established to promote and coordinate all actions of the General State Administration related to this event, in addition to fostering cooperation with other Public Administrations, public and private entities, and relevant personalities participating in the fair.
The Committee will be structured into a Plenary, an executive commission, and various working groups, and will be dissolved once the objectives are achieved and the events justifying its creation are concluded. Its activity will not generate an increase in public spending. All members of the Organizing Committee will serve in an honorary capacity and will not receive any remuneration for the tasks they perform.
Spain's status as a guest country will provide an exceptional opportunity for companies, sectoral associations, and national institutions to showcase their industrial potential and publicize their main economic strengths.
The fair will be structured around three main areas: Automation and Digitalization, Energy and Industrial Infrastructure, and Research and Technological Transfer.
