The World Travel Market (WTM) in London (United Kingdom), considered one of the most important tourist events on the planet, will begin this Tuesday its 2026 edition, the 47th, after closing in 2025 a record year, with a 5% increase in the number of exhibitors and a total attendance of 46,500 attendees.

Under the slogan "Resilience, recovery and reinvention: the next era of global travel", the new event will bring together senior executives, industry leaders and renowned specialized advisers, who will analyze the latest developments and transformations in international tourism.

Among the main activities will again be the WTM Ministers' Summit and the ITT Future You Forum in 2026, which will be held again and will be reinforced with more spaces and moments for 'networking', according to a statement released by the organization.

Likewise, the well-known WTM Global Travel Report will be part of the official program, providing a detailed snapshot of the evolution of traveler behavior and the dominant trends in the industry. Admission to the fair includes full access to this study for each registrant.

For the first time, the Egypt Tourism Authority has been named the main partner of the London fair in 2026, which "reflects Egypt's growing presence at the event and its long-term commitment to tourism growth".

During 2025, the North African country received almost 19 million international tourists, 21% more than in 2024, well above the global average growth, around 5%.

As noted by the director of the WTM London event, Chris Carter-Chapman, the 2025 edition marked "numerous records", which gives them an "impressive" foundation to continue expanding and consolidating the fair's success in 2026.

"We look forward to welcoming the global tourism sector to London to create new opportunities, establish new connections and generate more prosperity for our sector," he added.
