The absolute majority held by PP and Vox in the Assembly of Extremadura has allowed this Wednesday the rejection of the amendments in full to the draft Budget of Extremadura for 2027 filed by PSOE and Unidas por Extremadura, in which they demanded the return of the accounts to the regional Chamber.
After more than five hours of discussion in the plenary session, the amendment in full of the Socialist Group was first put to a vote, which was discarded with the votes against of PP and Vox, while it received the support of Unidas por Extremadura.
The amendment in full presented by Unidas por Extremadura met the same fate, since although it had the support of the Socialist Group, it was likewise rejected thanks to the absolute majority that PP and Vox sum in the Assembly of Extremadura.
Parliamentary processing continues
Once this procedure has been overcome, the draft Budget of Extremadura for 2027 will continue forward in its route through the regional Chamber. This Thursday and Friday, October 29 and 30, the appearances of senior officials of the regional Executive to present the accounts by departments will be held in parliamentary committee.
Afterwards, on November 3, the period for the filing of partial amendments will open, which will be analyzed in the Committee on Finance and Budgets of the Assembly of Extremadura, before taking them to the plenary session where the accounts will be definitively voted on together with the amendments that remain "alive" at that time.
The debate and final vote on the budgetary project is scheduled for December 22 and 23, when the accounts will presumably go ahead thanks to the parliamentary majority of PP and Vox that supports the regional Government.
