The plenary session of the Assembly of Extremadura has given the green light this Thursday, the 5th, and unanimously approved the list of the nine members of the Board of Directors of the Corporación Extremeña de Medios Audiovisuales (Cexma) proposed by the different parliamentary groups.
The initiative has moved forward with the joint support of PP, PSOE, Vox and Unidas por Extremadura. However, the regulations governing the Cexma only require that the appointment have the backing of two thirds of the Chamber in order to be validated.
As the president of the Assembly, Manuel Naharro, has indicated, the proposed individuals meet the conditions set out in the law, which requires that they be "people of notable professional merits." The same rule establishes that the election must respond to criteria of pluralism and political representation, while also ensuring a balanced composition between men and women.
In this way, the representatives on the Board of Directors of the Cexma proposed by the parliamentary groups will, specifically, be María Felisa Cepeda Bravo, Ana Fernández Salguero, Emilio José Borrega Romero, José Antonio Murillo Dávila, Ester Pulido Carrasco, María de la Cruz Vázquez Vázquez, Miriam Moreno Bañón, Carlos Farpón Barcina and Daniel Hierro Fresno.
Once the designation proposal has been approved in the plenary session this Thursday, the agreement will be sent to the Junta de Extremadura so that it can proceed with the official appointment.
