The president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, shared this Tuesday the image of the institutional response to the DANA Adam during their visit to the Advanced Command Post of Oliva. Both participated in the meeting with the heads of the emergency devices, coordination, and with the mayors of the municipalities affected by the floods.

The visit took place while the work of pumping and recovering the areas affected by the storm on the southern coast of Valencia and the northern coast of Alicante continues. The Civil Guard had counted up to this Monday 2,141 evacuated people and 496 rescued in the Comunitat Valenciana since the beginning of the emergency.

After the meeting, Sánchez announced that the Government will approve in the next Council of Ministers the declaration of "seriously affected area by a Civil Protection emergency" for the municipalities affected by the DANA, a measure that will allow channeling economic resources to repair the damages caused by the storm.

The president has assured that the Executive will be alongside those affected "as it has always been, in the reconstruction phase." The emergency currently leaves four confirmed deceased and maintains assistance and recovery work in different points of Valencia and Alicante.
