The Peace Board for Gaza announced this Sunday the arrival in Israel of a second detachment of military personnel from Kosovo, which will be integrated into the stabilization mission contemplated in the peace plan for Gaza promoted by the United States.
"The International Stabilization Force welcomes the latest additions to the Kosovo Security Force," the Peace Board reported in a message published on social media. "They will support security in Gaza in areas such as logistics or civil affairs," it added.
On April 20, Kosovo President Albulena Haxhiu gave the green light for the deployment of Kosovo troops to Gaza to join the International Stabilization Force, a decision that was subsequently endorsed by the country's Parliament.
This Kosovo contingent is thus integrated into the multinational force in which Morocco already participates, with personnel deployed in Israel within the same initiative. In addition, Albania and Kazakhstan have also announced their intention to send military personnel.
The Peace Board has set up a logistics center in southern Israel to receive and coordinate the International Stabilization Force, although the construction of a specific base for the contingent within Gaza has not yet begun and, for now, there is no defined timeline for its deployment on the ground.
