At least five people have required medical assistance in the early hours of this Sunday after the use of an unknown substance in a crowded nightclub in the German locality of Lintig, in the state of Lower Saxony (west), according to authorities.
The police have indicated that a large operation has been deployed at the establishment, where a person allegedly sprayed an unidentified substance early in the day, causing respiratory difficulties and dizziness in several attendees, with some of them losing consciousness.
Security forces have arrested a 19-year-old young man in connection with the incident, although no further details have been provided nor has his identity been made public. The investigation remains open to clarify what happened.
