The Central Command of the United States Armed Forces (CENTCOM) this Saturday said it has put the commercial vessel 'M/V Huda' out of service in waters in the Gulf of Oman, after its crew ignored orders linked to the naval blockade imposed on Iran.

"CENTCOM forces have disabled a commercial vessel in the Gulf of Oman on November 7 after the ship's civilian crew repeatedly ignored warnings and attempted to violate the naval blockade against Iran on multiple occasions," CENTCOM explained in a statement.

After these events, U.S. aviation used "precision ammunition" against the stern of the 'M/V Huda', a ship that sails under the flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis. The merchant was left inoperable "after CENTCOM forces ordered the crew to abandon the target areas." "The merchant ship tried to leave the waters of the area after visiting an Iranian port," the statement continues.

CENTCOM emphasizes that it maintains the application of the blockade against Iran "strictly." Since July, they have rerouted 147 vessels and disabled five that refused to comply with the instructions. In addition, ten Iranian tankers have been destroyed from the Iranian "multibillion-dollar phantom fleet network of the Revolutionary Guard."

"All sailors transiting the Iranian coasts or nearby waters must comply with the blockade notices from U.S. forces," the statement concludes.
