The Ngorongoro Conservation Authority has reported the opening of an investigation to clarify the death of ten lions in the Nduto area, in the Endulen county, after the animals allegedly died after consuming poisoned food.
According to a spokesperson for the agency, Hamis Dambaya, the initial inquiries indicate that the ten felines would have lost their lives on Friday, September 18.
"The authorities have opened a thorough forensic investigation to determine the causes and those responsible for this incident. More information will be published when the investigation has concluded," he indicated.
The remains of the lions were found dead on the same September 18 in the aforementioned conservation area.
