The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has held a call this Saturday with the British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, in which they have analyzed the current moment of the ongoing talks with Iran.
"The Prime Minister has expressed his support for President Trump's efforts to end the conflict with Iran and celebrates the progress made and the importance of reaching an agreement that promotes lasting peace," Starmer stated, according to an official British statement.
During the exchange, Starmer reiterated to Trump the United Kingdom's willingness to "support the implementation of any peace agreement and work with international partners to ensure its success." "The two leaders agree that freedom of navigation must be restored to reduce the economic impact of the crisis globally," the British statement continues.
Likewise, both leaders have agreed to stay in touch and hold a face-to-face meeting "to talk" during the G7 summit that will take place next week in France.
