At least two people have lost their lives and another 35 have been injured in the state of Georgia, in the United States, as a result of a shooting that occurred early this Sunday in the town of Vienna, according to the state investigative office in a statement.
The incident occurred around 1:25 AM during "a neighborhood party" and, upon arriving at the scene, the officers found "two people declared dead at the scene and several people injured by gunfire," who were evacuated to different hospitals in the area for treatment.
The bodies of the two fatal victims will be sent to the office of the medical examiner of the state investigative office, where the corresponding autopsies will be performed.
For now, the authorities have not provided information about possible suspects nor is there any record of arrests related to the attack.
