The president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, has lashed out against what he considers "the level of degradation and third-worldization" associated with the PSOE, after the general blackout that this Monday left the island of La Palma without electricity supply.

"The level of degradation and third-worldization of everything the criminal organization PSOE touches is absolutely unbearable," the Vox leader denounced in a message spread on X and reported by Europa Press.

The power outage, which coincided with an electrical storm that has affected the island of La Palma and is being handled as a possible origin of the incident, left more than 50,500 customers without electricity and occurred in two separate episodes.

Abascal has assured that, if Spaniards grant him their support, next November 30 he will begin "a gigantic task of national reconstruction, recovery of collective self-esteem and return of prosperity and well-being to citizens".
