The President of the PP and candidate for the Presidency of the Government, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has launched this Saturday an attack against the “Government of the orgies” which, as he has denounced, has been led by Pedro Sánchez in the past few years—stages which, in his view, have been “marked by corruption, chauvinism, and the infamous and negligent management of public resources.” At the same time, he has urged to “look at the citizens of Ceuta, young people, and women” with the purpose of “building a better Spain.”

The “popular” leader delivered this message at his first pre-campaign rally in Valladolid after the railway accident, at an event in which the provincial president of the PP, Conrado Íscar, previously spoke; the mayor of Valladolid and candidate for the Senate, Jesús Julio Carnero; the head of the list for the Congress, María Pardo; and the party’s regional president, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco.

Feijóo has defended that, after “years of sanchismo,” the time has come to “look and serve the people.” “The show is over, the networks are over, the shamelessness is over. Now it’s time to work. First thing is to look at Ceuta three months later,” he stressed to those attending.

Along these lines, he pointed out that in the last few weeks citizens have learned of events that the Executive “has denied knowing,” recounting that more than 100,000 people crossed the border with “Marroquí police who ordered the invasion and are located.”

For this reason, he said he did not understand that the central Government “congratulates the country that has invaded Spain,” and he guaranteed that he will not forget “not a single day of the citizens who have suffered the consequences of this situation” and that “it will not stop until that part of Spain and that part of Europe recovers normality.”

At the same time, he demanded to focus on “the refrigerators and the gas deposits,” stressing that Gross Domestic Product (GDP) “isn’t eaten” and that the real economic problem is that many families “don’t make ends meet.” “For people, indeed, it’s getting harder and harder to make ends meet and maintain decent living conditions,” he expanded.

This reality, he added, also forces the spotlight to be put on young people, who, as he defended, have “the right to eat the world, even though it’s not possible to do it from their parents’ home bedroom.”

At this point, he has praised the regional Government of Castilla y León for its measures on housing and for the thousand properties it expects to deliver in Valladolid. Next, he also demanded attention for older people, whom, he said, Sánchez’s Executive “puts fear” into with pensions “when they know perfectly well that we are going to increase them every year.”

"Every year we are going to increase them in accordance with the Consumer Price Index (CPI)", he promised. In his view, “the true fear of older people is something else, it’s leaving the house, it’s not feeling calm in your neighborhoods”.

Therefore, he demanded that Spain recover “safe streets” and called for a better country for women, who “suffer insecurity and lack of control” that, according to what he said, has been generated by the central Government.

“The women who raise this country also deserve for the Government of orgies to go. They deserve a Government that truly works for them, that respects them once and for all, that doesn’t use them,” the Galician leader emphasized.

"EIGHT YEARS OF INSTITUTIONAL MACHISMO"

In this stretch of his speech, the PP president referred to the eight years of “institutional machismo and rents through the roof” that, as he has denounced, the Sánchez Executive has imposed on citizens.

"Now they want to turn themselves into saviors of the problems they previously created", he criticized the 'popular' leader, saying that the socialists intend to “solve all the problems they created over eight years and to make sure the blame lies with those who haven’t been in government in recent years”.

He has denounced that they have been “eight years of releasing rapists and harassers with the patchwork of their laws, eight years also of hiring prostituted women with public money during legislative terms in which nothing has worked,” a period he has likened to the situation of “the trains or the price of electricity and of fuels”.

"They have collected taxes more than ever and accumulated more debt than ever, with more European funds than ever," Feijóo stressed, before asking himself “where the money of Spaniards is” and “why citizens’ money has not been put at the service of Spain”.
