The president of the PP and candidate for the Presidency of the Government, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has chosen "The necessary change" as the central slogan of his campaign for the general elections on November 29. The party has detailed that the starting gun will be on Thursday, November 12, at an event in Badalona (Barcelona).
The election campaign will officially begin on Thursday night, on a tour in which the PP plans to visit all the autonomous communities. Feijóo’s first major rally will be in Badalona, where he will be accompanied by the mayor of the town and top candidate for the Congress in Barcelona, Xavier García Albiol.
The 'popular' party has already closed other important milestones on the election calendar. On Saturday, November 14, the PP leader will travel to Santiago de Compostela and, a week later, on Saturday 21, at the midpoint of the campaign, he will hold another major event in Valencia.
After Pedro Sánchez’s announcement of the election call three weeks ago, the PP placed a large banner on the facade of its national headquarters with the slogan "At last". This Friday, the party leadership has specified that the message that will preside over the 15 days of campaigning will be "The necessary change".
Presentation of the PP’s election program
The Partido Popular has also informed that next Tuesday, November 10, it will unveil its election program for the general election, coordinated by the deputy secretary for Sectorial Affairs, Alma Ezcurra. The event will be held in Madrid and will include speeches by Feijóo and by Ezcurra herself.
"In Feijóo’s Spain, ideas are the most important thing and, therefore, we want to give them value. We are the party of the proposal; we’ve been doing it over the past few months," said the PP’s secretary general, who stressed that during the campaign they want to focus the debate on the "management" and the "experience" of their candidate, who has accumulated 14 years at the head of the Xunta de Galicia, in addition to his period in charge of Correos or Insalud.
