El Consejo de Ministros has approved the Real Decreto that regulates the Bono Joven for this 2026 with important novelties. The star initiative of the Ministerio de Cultura to bring cultural consumption closer to young people this year is aimed at those born in 2008 who reach the age of majority.
According to what the Minister of Culture, Ernest Urtasun, has detailed, the main novelty is the incorporation of a new spending category that would allow the voucher to be used for products and activities that until now were excluded. Among them appear musical instruments and cultural courses, both in-person and online.
Until now, the 400 euro aid was focused mainly on tickets, books, cinema, recorded music or cultural digital products. With the reform, the aim is to open the door to a more flexible use linked to learning.
Specifically, for example, for the purchase of instruments. "Until now young people could use the voucher to go to a concert, now they will be able to use it to buy a guitar," said the minister, who insisted on the Government's commitment to creation and training.
