The Partido Popular has announced this Monday, after knowing the result of the Andalusian polls, five new appointments within the teams of Tellado, Alma Ezcurra and Cuca Gamarra.
With an eye on the general elections, and taking for granted that Spain has entered a phase of change, with a tendency for stable majorities to come from the Partido Popular, the formation led by Alberto Núñez Feijóo has begun a new stage, with technical rearmament to achieve that majority.
In addition, the National Executive Committee of the PP has agreed at this Monday's meeting to convene, in agreement with the PPC, the Regional Congress of the PP of Catalonia. The event will be officially convened next week and will be held on Saturday, June 27. Furthermore, it has been agreed with the National Board of Directors of Nuevas Generaciones to hold its National Congress on July 11, and the Congress of the PP of the Balearic Islands, which will be held next Saturday, May 23, has been ratified.
In the appointments section, the National Executive Committee has approved the new structure of the General Secretariat, which incorporates a Strategy and Planning area that, coordinated by María Martín – former communications director at Gad 3 – incorporates Carlos Poza – specialist in data processing and demographic analysis – as secretary of Segmentation and Audiences.
In addition, the Deputy Secretariat for Sectoral Coordination, headed by Alma Ezcurra, adds three new area coordinators and one secretariat: - Juan Milián, – currently senator for Catalonia –, in charge of National Project Coordination. -Juan Corro, – manager of the Autonomous Body for Informatics of the Madrid City Council and associate professor at the University of Alcalá – who will coordinate the Foresight area. -Pilar Marcos – journalist, former deputy and former director of FAES publications will be in charge of Message Unit coordination.
Carlos Fernández – advisor to the EPP Group in Brussels and expert in European policy – at the head of the Programs Secretariat.
Regarding the Deputy Secretary of Institutional Regeneration led by Cuca Gamarra, it creates two new secretariats in the area of Justice: the secretariat of Constitutional Affairs and the secretariat of Legal Operators, led by the professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Enrique Belda Pérez-Pedrero; and by Pere Huguet Tous, president of the Consell de l'Advocacia between 2006 and 2007, vice-president of the General Council of Spanish Lawyers and PPC deputy in the Parliament, respectively.
