The spokesperson for Vox in Congress, Pepa Millán, has criticized the absence of seven ministers from the Government in the upcoming control session in the Lower House, among them the main responsible for the management of the Ceuta crisis.
"Could the Government explain why we have this systematic flight of ministers with everything that is happening in Ceuta and the information that comes out every day about their corruption?" the Vox leader wrote on the social network 'X'.
According to a document registered in Congress and to which Europa Press has had access, the Executive announces that in the control session next Wednesday, seven members of the Council of Ministers will not attend, so the opposition will not be able to ask them questions.
Among the absentees are the heads of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares; Defense, Margarita Robles; Interior, Fernando Grande Marlaska; and Territorial Policy, Ángel Víctor Torres, who acts as the sole command of the Government for the management of the Ceuta crisis. The Minister of Health, Mónica García, who is responsible for hospital care in the autonomous city, as well as the heads of Transport, Óscar Puente, and Education, Milagros Tolón, will also be absent.
Limited presence of Vice President Carlos Cuerpo
AND VICE PRESIDENT CUERPO, ONLY FOR A WHILE
In addition, the Government has communicated that the first vice president and minister of Economy, Carlos Cuerpo, will only be present during the question period, but will not remain afterwards in the hemicycle for the interpellations.
The lack of ministers in control sessions has become a recurring practice in recent months. One of the episodes with the highest number of absences occurred this same week, when both President Pedro Sánchez and nine of his ministers notified that they would not attend the Plenary on Wednesday.
