The Government of Cantabria, through the Ministry of Rural Development, Livestock, Fisheries and Food, has decided to once again allow the holding of fairs, contests, exhibitions and other events in which there is the presence of cattle starting today, November 1.

Despite this reopening of livestock events, until December 31 the rest of the safety measures already implemented will remain in force. Among them, the ban on the entry into the Mercado Nacional de Ganados de Torrelavega of animals older than one year coming from other autonomous communities is maintained, as well as the obligation of a 28-day quarantine period for livestock arriving from outside Cantabria.
