The qualifying session for the Formula 1 Mexico City Grand Prix will take place this Saturday, October 31, at 22.00, Spanish mainland time. In the Canary Islands it will begin at 21.00.

The race will be held on Sunday, November 1 at 21.00 in the Peninsula and Balearic Islands, and at 20.00 in the Canary Islands. These are the schedules resulting from converting the organizer's official program, which sets qualifying at 15.00 and the start on Sunday at 14.00 in Mexico City.

Where to watch qualifying and the race

The broadcast in Spain corresponds to DAZN F1, according to the programming listed for this Grand Prix. Access depends on the contracted subscription including that content.

Those who watch the channel through a television platform must check that it is included in their package. Having an account or other sports channels does not by itself guarantee access to Formula 1.

It is also worth distinguishing the time of the pre-show from the start time of the session. The broadcast may begin earlier to analyze the practice sessions and the conditions of the circuit.

Why it is advisable to save two different times

The easiest mistake this weekend is to carry Saturday's schedule over to Sunday. Qualifying begins at 22.00 mainland time, but the race is scheduled for 21.00.

The difference is not due to a change between the two days, but to the Grand Prix schedule. To avoid confusion, the most practical thing is to save each session with its date and time zone.

When consulting international pages, moreover, it is necessary to check whether they show the circuit's local time, the user's time, or universal UTC time. The same event may appear with different figures without its start having been changed.

What is decided in qualifying

The Saturday session determines the reference sporting order for forming the grid. However, the result of qualifying and the definitive grid may differ if penalties or later decisions are applied.

That is why, after knowing the pole, it is also advisable to review the grid published for the race. It is especially relevant when there are pending penalties affecting starting positions.

The Sunday race is scheduled for 71 laps at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, a 4.304-kilometer circuit. The announced time corresponds to the expected start; possible interruptions or delays may modify the length of the broadcast.
