The Galician Coast Guard has intervened more than 400 traps and gear used irregularly and has seized around 150 kilos of seafood, mainly octopus and spider crabs.
According to what they have reported through the social network "X", these actions are part of the usual surveillance and control tasks that are carried out continuously in the Galician estuaries to combat poaching.
In recent days, the forces removed more than 400 illegal traps and gear from the sea and seized 150 kilos of catches, especially octopus and spider crabs. The vast majority of the specimens were alive, so they could be returned to the sea.
