The Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, and Fishing has decided to revoke the precautionary preventive measures that it had been applying since October 2025 to curb the risk of expansion of the Contagious Nodular Dermatitis (CND) virus in livestock farms in the Region of Murcia.
The resolution, signed by the counselor Joaquín Buendía and published in the Official Bulletin of the Region of Murcia (BORM), is adopted following the positive evolution of the epidemiological scenario and the control of the disease in the autonomous territory.
The technical report prepared by the General Directorate of Livestock, Fishing, and Aquaculture concludes that the disappearance of the extraordinary risk means that it is no longer necessary to maintain these limitations to ensure animal health.
With the entry into force of this order, the precautions implemented a year ago are revoked, which included the suspension of concentrations of bovine livestock and other sensitive species, official veterinary surveillance in farms receiving animals from risk areas, the preventive isolation of animals, and reinforced instructions for disinsectization.
