The head of the PSOE list to the Congress for Teruel, Herminio Sancho, has underlined this Saturday that the “expansion of rights” promoted by the progressive governments of Pedro Sánchez “has also reached business owners and entrepreneurs” who, first of all, “are benefiting from a good economic scenario” and, in addition, “have been able to weather the effects of the major crises as best as possible with direct economic aid or with formulas for protecting employment and activity, as have been the ERTE.”
During his visit to the Feria de Monroyo (Teruel), Sancho noted that business initiatives in the rural environment, mostly small companies, have particularly benefited them in accessing the right to unemployment benefits and retirement for self-employed workers, linked to a slight increase of 1.25% in the minimum contribution base.
Likewise, he emphasized that a new contribution model has been implemented, based on real income, of a more flexible and progressive nature, “which had the unanimous agreement of the most representative organizations of this group.”
He also highlighted the role of the European Funds for Transformation, requested and obtained by the progressive government despite opposition from the right and the far right, to move forward with the modernization, digitalization, and internationalization of the business fabric, as well as to successfully complete a broad deployment plan for broadband and mobile coverage, “which already reaches 99% of the territory.”
As for the rural environment, Sancho highlighted the importance of the approval of the Remote Work Law, “which has allowed many to return to their towns working in the same company that forced them to be in the city,” as well as a regularization of migrants, “with which those who are here can contribute to general wealth.”
