The Minister of the Interior and Public Security of the Generalitat, Núria Parlon, has refused this Tuesday to comment on the infiltrations of the State Security Forces and Corps (FCSE) in social movements in Catalonia, considering that the Mossos d'Esquadra "are not part" of said collective.
She made these statements during her appearance before the Parliamentary Investigation Commission on infiltrations in social and political movements in Catalonia and on espionage with spyware by the State.
Parlon pointed out that, for "procedural neatness," it is not her responsibility to link or compare these actions with the infiltration of 2 Mossos agents in a teachers' assembly held in May.
"I have nothing to say on this matter because I do not have the authority to say anything," remarked the head of the Interior, who specified that the FCSE are the National Police Corps and the Civil Guard, while the Mossos d'Esquadra constitute the Police of the Generalitat.
Infiltration in a teachers' assembly
When asked about the presence of Catalan police officers at a meeting of teachers, Parlon described the action as "shoddy" and maintained that it was due to a bad operational decision that will not be repeated, following the implementation of new mechanisms for supervision and review of procedures.
"It was a bad intervention, there was no political or operational command to carry it out. It was a clumsy, poorly planned, and inopportune operation," the minister assessed.
In the Interior Commission in May, held just after these events became known, Parlon announced the opening of a Reserved Information to clarify what happened.
This Tuesday she detailed that a contentious court has 3 lawsuits on its table for alleged violation of fundamental rights that are still being processed: "It is not stopped," she pointed out regarding this procedure, which she preferred not to comment on in depth.
