The CUP has submitted a set of questions to the Government in Parliament for it to detail why this Wednesday afternoon the Mossos d'Esquadra prevented access with 'esteladas' to the streets near the Sagrada Família, an area through which Pope Leo XIV was scheduled to pass in the 'popemobile'.

In the document, which Europa Press has accessed, the 'cupaires' ask to clarify whether the police action responded to a direct instruction from the Minister of the Interior of the Generalitat, Núria Parlon, and on what criteria the passage of people carrying the flag of Spain and other countries was allowed, while access was blocked to those carrying 'esteladas', as they denounce.

Likewise, the anti-capitalist group demands to specify who allegedly ordered the expulsion of "600 singers" from the event held at the Sagrada Família and what the justification for that decision was.
