Movimiento Sumar has stated that it is prepared to face the early elections on November 29 and has emphasized that the new coalition it will present along with its political partners for the general elections, called Frente Amplio, will have a decisive role for the left space.
"We are ready and we are more. On the next November 29, Frente Amplio is the key to guarantee the right to housing, to health, to time, to a dignified life," it has conveyed on its official account on Bluesky referring to the electoral alliance forged with IU, Comuns, and Más Madrid.
The announcement from Sumar comes after the president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, communicated this Monday in an institutional statement at the Palacio de la Moncloa the call for general elections for the next November 29.
The early elections take place after the decision of the Congress to reject on Friday two royal decrees with measures to address the housing problem, which fell due to the votes against from PP, Vox, and Junts, which led the president to take the weekend to assess whether it was appropriate to call for the polls now.
