The magistrate who is investigating the case regarding the awards of public-protection housing (VPP) in Residencial Les Naus, in Playa de San Juan, promoted on municipal land that was sold, has ordered the Legal Services of the Ayuntamiento de Alicante that, "within an inexcusable period of five days" from receipt of the request, "provide the documentation" requested in a letter dated last October 7.
Thus it appears in an order issued this Wednesday, to which Europa Press has had access, in which the judge warns the city council "that in the event of a new failure to comply it could incur the responsibilities to which there may be place in law".
The Tribunal Superior de Justicia de la Comunitat Valenciana (TSJCV) specified that the investigating judge asked the Ayuntamiento to detail whether it carried out any management in the procedure for the sale of the municipal-owned plot between the agreement of the local government board that approved its valuation, dated July 10, 2018, and the publication of the tender notice on the Public Sector Contracting Platform, on September 5 of that same year.
In another order, it required the Legal Services of the municipal corporation to send all the documentation linked to that point, including any communications that may have been exchanged between the departments of Patrimonio Management and Contracting or those that may have taken place "within each department", as well as "requests for reports" or "reports issued".
The judge likewise underscored the obligation to send "all the documentation and communications relating to the doubts that arose about the price of the plot", together with those that affect the "decision to suspend any action to move forward with said file" or the "lifting of the suspension".
In addition, she urged the Ayuntamiento to report, and support with all the pertinent documentation and communications, on whether any additional publicity was given to the agreement of the government board of July 10, 2018, beyond its publication on the Contracting Platform.
On the other hand, in the ruling issued this Wednesday, the magistrate again reminds the National Police's money laundering investigation group of "the compliance" with an official letter of February 23. The investigating judge had already authorized the Economic and Fiscal Crime Unit (UDEF) of this police force to gather information and to initiate investigative proceedings regarding the facts.
