The Government Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Castilla-La Mancha (TSJCM) decided this Friday to promote a specific reinforcement for the Civil and Investigation Section of the Court of Instance of Orgaz (Toledo), so that the incumbent magistrate of position number 2 can focus exclusively on the investigation of the judicial proceedings arising from the Urda railway accident.

The proposed measure consists of a service commission with relief from duties, so that a second judge assumes the ordinary processing of all civil and criminal matters corresponding to position number 2, apart from the case opened by the railway incident that continues under the responsibility of the incumbent judge.

Along with this reinforcement, the Government Chamber of the TSJCM has resolved to extend the collaboration of one of the magistrates specialized in emergency and disaster management, specifically the holder of position number 3 of the Investigation Section of the Court of Instance of Toledo. This technical and organizational support will remain operative until the service commission agreed upon comes into force, as the TSJCM detailed in a statement.

Likewise, the Government Chamber has been informed of the reinforcements activated in the Civil Registry of Orgaz to expedite as much as possible the processing of death registrations and burial permits linked to the railway accident.

During the meeting, the Government Chamber of the TSJCM has reiterated its condolences to the victims, family members and loved ones of the serious incident, and has expressed, within the scope of its competencies, its total readiness and commitment to provide the attention they require in these especially painful moments.

In the same way, the crisis commission of the Government Chamber of the TSJCM remains active, with availability to hold as many meetings as necessary and address the needs of the service.
