Andrés Roca Rey suffered a spectacular goring this Friday during the bullfight held at the Coliseum of Nimes, in France. The incident occurred during the performance with the sixth bull of the afternoon, when the animal caught the bullfighter and threw him into the air.

After the somersault, Roca Rey lay on the ground and showed a visible wound in the chin area, which began to bleed. Despite the blow, the bullfighter got back in front of the bull and completed the performance. Finally, he cut off an ear from the sixth, the third he achieved during the celebration.

The incident during the sixth bull

The incident occurred while Roca Rey was performing naturally with the last bull of the afternoon. The bull caught him and delivered a strong somersault before the bullfighter could get up.

Roca Rey continued the performance after the incident and managed to finish his act. The result allowed him to exit on shoulders through the Gate of the Consuls of Nimes, after having cut two ears from the fourth bull and one from the sixth.

No medical report on his current condition

For the moment, the available information describes the visible wound on the chin caused by the blow, but there is no official medical report that allows determining the extent of the injuries or his current condition.

The incident occurs just a few days after Roca Rey was injured during a bullfight in San Martín de Valdeiglesias, in Madrid.

Logroño, next commitment

Roca Rey is scheduled to return to the bullring on September 21 in Logroño, according to the agenda published on his official page. His calendar for the coming weeks also includes commitments in Seville, Úbeda, and Valencia.

The bullfighter's participation in Logroño is therefore pending any official communication regarding his physical condition after the incident in Nimes.
