The Board of Castilla y León is finalizing a set of economic measures and specific actions that will be announced at the Government Council this Thursday, aimed at families displaced by the Ávila fire, as well as farmers, ranchers, self-employed individuals, and other victims of the fire.
The plan will include direct support for ranchers, farmers, and beekeepers in order to compensate for losses in agricultural and livestock production, the death of animals, or the destruction of hives, applying objective criteria for this purpose.
Additionally, lines of aid will be launched to cover the reconstruction of farms and agricultural and livestock facilities, as well as the replacement of damaged fences and enclosures, as was advanced last Monday by the president of the Board, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, and the counselor of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Environment, and Environmental Policy, Joaquín Antonio Pino, who emphasized that this is an "integral package" of aid.
Another commitment is to allow that, once the pasture has regenerated, it can be used immediately, while ensuring that these areas remain eligible for PAC aid starting in 2027 and in subsequent years.
The president of the Board, through a message on the 'X' network, insisted that people are the priority of his Government. "We are by your side. Now, during the emergency, and also in the future, in the recovery," he pointed out.
