65% of the corporate Christmas dinners scheduled for 2026 were booked before summer began, according to data from Simmer Events, the corporate events agency of VB Group, which has found a 15% increase in requests compared with 2025.
In addition, 23% more companies than in the previous year have decided to bring forward the booking of these dates. This advance is linked to the strong concentration of corporate events in the last quarter of the year, a period in which 18% of all the activity managed by the firm is grouped. With this, companies try to secure space in the most in-demand venues and gain time to design celebrations tailored to their specific needs.
This behavior also shows an evolution in the function of these meetings, which have stopped being mere social get-togethers to become tools for internal communication aimed at strengthening team cohesion and highlighting the work carried out over the course of the year.
With regard to formats, central venues and exclusive-use spaces, especially for large groups, account for the majority of demand, along with themed dinners that include a party afterward. The average budget per event, for its part, shows a 5% variation compared with 2025.
According to the director of Simmer Events, Belén Salgueiro, more and more companies prepare these celebrations months in advance to expand the options available and design experiences more aligned with their goals and their corporate identity.
