The Swiss group Autoneum plans to complete the acquisition of Trèves, a company that has a factory in the O Campiño industrial estate, in Pontevedra, during the first quarter of 2027.
The transaction is valued at 64 million euros. Of that amount, 40 million euros will be paid initially and, additionally, a variable payment of up to 24 million euros could be added, conditioned on the evolution of EBITDA and on the synergies that are achieved up to the year 2029.
The Trèves Group is dedicated to the design and manufacturing of components for vehicle interiors and to related solutions for acoustic comfort, supplying innovative products to the worldwide automotive industry. It operates production centers in 15 countries, including the Pontevedra-based Trèves Galicia plant, with 12,000 square meters of surface area and a workforce of 150 workers.
In a statement, Autoneum details the acquisition of the Trèves Group, which totals 4,600 employees at a global level and expects annual revenue of close to 720 million euros in fiscal year 2025.
"The acquisition will complement Autoneum's current industrial network and product portfolio, while generating opportunities to obtain operational and purchasing synergies," the company says. With this integration, it is estimated that the resulting group will reach a turnover of more than 2,900 million Swiss francs in fiscal year 2026.
Autoneum already has in Galicia a plant linked to the automotive sector located in the Ourense municipality of A Rúa, which will be added to Trèves' industrial presence in Pontevedra once the operation has been completed.
