Emirates has managed to return to operating around 93% of the capacity it had before the interruption caused by the military conflict in the Middle East. This progress comes after a summer season closure better than expected and with the start of winter marked by a notable dynamism in bookings, according to the company.
Since the beginning of 2026, the airline has incorporated 18 new aircraft, distributed between 11 Airbus A350 and seven Boeing 777 freighters, and plans to add another six additional A350 before the end of December.
So far, 104 planes have gone through its modernization program, including 53 Boeing 777 and 51 A380. With this, the number of units equipped with Premium Economy and the latest cabin products from Emirates rises to 137. By the end of December, the modernized fleet will reach 155 aircraft.
The company is also strengthening onboard connectivity. Nearly 50 Emirates aircraft already have Starlink wifi connection, while the installations are being implemented alongside the renewal program to offer high-speed internet in flight to a greater number of passengers.
Regarding the summer season, the airline transported more than 8.6 million travelers between July and August, with load factors clearly above 75%. The performance was especially strong on routes with origin or destination in Indonesia, Ivory Coast, and the United Kingdom.
Looking to winter, Emirates' network will continue to expand through the opening of new destinations, increasing frequencies, and a greater presence of its most modern aircraft in strategic markets. In this context, the incorporation of Helsinki and the increase in capacity on routes such as Accra, Tokyo Narita, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hanoi stands out.
Alongside its own network, Emirates' 168 code-share, interline, and intermodal agreements allow customers to access another 1,750 cities. On average, more than 13,000 Emirates passengers connect to their destinations through flights operated by partner airlines.
