Hyatt has appointed Guido Fredrich as the new Vice President of Luxury and Lifestyle Development for the EAME region, from where he will take on the responsibility of driving the expansion of the group's luxury and lifestyle brands in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

Fredrich's incorporation comes at a time of growth for Hyatt in these markets, reinforcing its presence in key cities with strong cultural weight and in reference vacation destinations in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

Among the latest projects added to the portfolio are Andaz Lisbon and Miraval the Red Sea, while the opening of Thompson Seville, Thompson Rome, and The Standard Lisbon is scheduled before the end of 2026.

The new vice president brings more than 15 years of international experience in hotel and real estate development and had previously held a development executive position at Hyatt, during which he oversaw more than 15 entries into new markets for various brands of the group. Before returning to Hyatt, he served as Chief Development Officer at Corinthia Hotels, leading the global expansion of the brand, and previously was responsible for Asset Strategy at Signa.

Currently, Hyatt's luxury and lifestyle portfolios include 14 brands and total more than 70 hotels and over 11,000 rooms in the EAME region.

The Senior Vice President of Development for EAME at Hyatt, Felicity Black Roberts, has emphasized that Fredrich's appointment highlights the company's commitment to "continuous and planned growth across the region" and has highlighted his ability to identify strategic opportunities in the market and his background in brand differentiation.

For his part, Guido Fredrich has stated that he is "delighted to return to Hyatt at such an exciting time for the company" and has indicated that he looks forward to working closely with owners and partners to continue expanding Hyatt's footprint in the luxury and lifestyle segments "strategically."
