Norwegian Cruise Line soared more than 13% on the New York Stock Exchange after publishing its third-quarter 2026 accounts, which comfortably exceeded market projections.
The cruise line beat analysts’ forecasts by posting in the third quarter revenue of 2,946.76 million dollars (2,638 million euros), slightly above the 2,938.14 million dollars (2,630 million euros) obtained in the same period of the previous fiscal year, along with net profit of 513.76 million dollars (460 million euros).
Operating performance also exceeded the company’s own internal benchmarks: adjusted EBITDA reached 937 million dollars (838 million euros), above the 874 million dollars (782 million euros) estimated, while adjusted earnings per share (EPS) stood at 1.12 dollars (1 euro), clearly above the consensus expectation of 0.94 dollars (0.84 euros).
Supported by these solid figures, Norwegian’s management revised upward its projections for the entire 2026 fiscal year. It now forecasts adjusted net profit of approximately 789 million dollars (706 million euros) and sets its adjusted EBITDA target at around 2.550 billion dollars (2.283 billion euros).
At the same time, the board announced changes in top management: the current chief financial officer, Mark Kempa, will leave the post after more than 25 years at the company and will be replaced as of January 1 by Meghan Montana, the firm’s current chief strategy officer.
