Qatar Airways has integrated the Starlink wifi connection in 150 wide-body aircraft, equipping its Boeing 787-9 and 787-8 fleet with this technology, the company has reported in a statement.
The airline also maintains its forecast to complete the installation of Starlink on all its Boeing 787s before the end of 2026.
This milestone adds to the one already achieved by the Qatari company by completing the equipment program for the Boeing 777 in nine months and that of the Airbus A350 in just eight months.
Since the start of the Starlink connectivity service on board in October 2024, more than 23 million travelers have used what the airline describes as the fastest in-flight Wi-Fi connection in over 86,000 Qatar Airways operations.
