Renfe reported this Wednesday a "rail accident" on the Madrid-Andalusia high-speed line, an incident that has forced the temporary suspension of rail traffic in this corridor, as the public operator communicated on its official X profile.
Given this situation, the company has put into effect options for changing and canceling tickets for travelers who are affected by the interruption of service.
According to sources from Renfe to Europa Press, teams from the company are heading to the accident area to assess on the ground the extent of the incident.
Moments earlier, the infrastructure manager Adif had reported a "collision" between two high-speed trains that forced the traffic on this section of the network to be cut off.
Subsequently, Adif specified that the incident occurred between Mora and Orgaz and Urda (Toledo), at kilometer point 118, and that a Renfe train and another from the operator Iryo were involved in it, both making the Madrid-Seville route.
