Unilever, one of the largest European consumer goods groups, achieved a turnover of 38.919 billion euros in the first nine months of 2026, which represents an year-on-year increase of 2.7%. This was communicated by the company, which has decided to raise its forecasts for the full year.

In underlying terms, Unilever’s revenues up to September advanced 4.9% compared with the same period in 2025, with a contribution of 1.1% coming from prices and 3.8 percentage points from increased volumes.

By business lines, the beauty area recorded a sales increase of 3.2%, to 9.992 billion euros. The care division raised its revenue by 6.2%, to 10.459 billion, while the home segment improved by 3.6%, to 9.049 billion. In contrast, the food business reduced its sales by 2.6%, to 9.419 billion euros.

As for the geographical breakdown, the company achieved in Asia Pacific an increase of 2% in its turnover, to 17.270 billion euros. In the Americas, sales rose 5.9%, to 14.742 billion, while in Europe they fell 2.4%, to 6.907 billion.

If only the period from July to September is analyzed, Unilever’s turnover advanced 6.7% compared with the same quarter of the previous year, to 13.271 billion euros. In underlying terms, growth was 5.2% compared with the third quarter of 2025, with a 2.3% increase in prices and 2.9% in volume.

"We have achieved another quarter of competitive growth, driven by strong sales volume and a price increase to offset the impact of the rise in raw material costs," said Fernando Fernández, chief executive officer of Unilever.

Along the same lines, the executive emphasized that emerging markets were once again "a key driver," with broad-based progress, led by India and with sustained strength in Latin America and Southeast Asia, while performance in developed markets was affected by tougher comparisons with the previous year.

After this solid performance in the first nine months of the year, Unilever has revised upward its forecasts for 2026 and expects full-year underlying sales growth to be in a range of between 4% and 6%, accompanied by a slight improvement in underlying operating margin compared with the 20% recorded in 2025.

In addition, the multinational contemplates for 2026 an underlying increase in volume of at least 3% and an underlying growth in sales in the second half of the year close to 5%.
