The Basque Parliament joined this Thursday the official mourning proclaimed by the Government of Spain in remembrance of the people who died in the railway accident recorded in Urda (Toledo).

In application of Royal Decree 949/2026, of October 28, by which official mourning is declared for this accident, the flags of the parliamentary headquarters will remain flying at half-staff until 24.00 hours this coming Saturday as a sign of institutional mourning.

The Chamber had already expressed its condolences for the victims of the accident through a minute of silence observed during the monographic session on security held this past Wednesday.
