The Medical Association Organization, the General Council of Nursing, the General Council of Dentists, the General Council of Pharmacists, the General Council of Podiatrists and the General Council of Opticians-Optometrists have expressed their condolences to the relatives and loved ones of the victims of the railway accident recorded in Urda (Toledo), while also showing their support for the people who have been injured.

Through the social network 'X', these professional healthcare corporations have communicated that they place themselves at the disposal of the competent authorities and emergency services in order to offer all the help that may be necessary in managing the tragedy.

"We extend our deepest condolences to the relatives and loved ones of the victims of the tragic railway accident in Urda. The efforts of the emergency services and, especially, of the nurses who are attending to the victims, are being commendable, despite the numerous difficulties," said the president of the CGE, Florentino Pérez Raya.

As a response to this incident, the General Council of Nursing has chosen to suspend the celebration of its IV National Nursing Awards, which was scheduled for this afternoon, as a sign of respect and solidarity with the victims, the injured people and their families.

Likewise, labor organizations such as the Spanish Confederation of Medical Unions (CESM) and the Nursing Union (SATSE) have conveyed their condolences to the relatives and loved ones of the victims of the train accident and have reiterated their willingness to collaborate in whatever is required.

On the other hand, scientific societies such as the Spanish Association for the Study of the Liver and the Spanish Society of Intensive, Critical and Coronary Care Medicine (SEMICYUC) have also made public their condolences for what happened in this railway incident.

In the case of SEMICYUC, the entity has issued a statement in which it addresses particularly the relatives and loved ones of the most seriously injured, who will presumably be treated in intensive care units in Castilla-La Mancha and Madrid. "You can trust and be certain that they will be in the best hands, receiving excellent care from our colleagues in the intensive care services," the text states.
