The Deputy Secretary of Health and Social Policy of the Partido Popular, Carmen Fúnez, has reiterated her party’s commitment to drive an update of the Framework Statute through a “real negotiation” that makes it possible to recognize the “singularities of each profession,” providing for a space for its own negotiation for doctors and ensuring that it has “sufficient funding.”
“We have the firm intention that this Framework Statute will come to a good end, but with dialogue, without imposition, with resources and with the involvement of the entire Government,” she said this Friday during an information meeting organized by Europa Press, held ahead of the proximity of the general elections on 29 November.
Fúnez clarified that the modification of the Framework Statute, in which issues such as on-call duty, professional classification, work-life balance, stability and professional development will be addressed, will be carried out in a process of dialogue with healthcare professionals and “hand in hand” with the autonomous communities. In addition, she emphasized that the future regulations will be accompanied by the corresponding economic, technical and legal reports.
