The full Parliament has started this Tuesday its session with a minute of silence in memory of the people who died in the railway accident in Urda (Toledo), among them a young woman from Mallorca.

The tribute was held at 10.00 hours, coinciding with the start of the plenary session, after a request submitted by the PP the previous Monday.

Immediately afterwards, Javier Ripoll has taken office as a new deputy of Vox, replacing the parliamentarian of the same formation María José Verdú, recently deceased.

The Electoral Board of Baleares had notified the regional Chamber last week of the appointment of Ripoll, who appeared as the "number nine" on the Vox candidacy for the Parliament for Mallorca in 2023.
