The Minister of Defense of Ecuador, Gian Carlos Loffredo, has reported the capture of one of the most important suppliers of weapons for the criminal group Los Chone Killers, classified as a terrorist organization in the Andean country.

"The Chone Killers are running out of weapons," Loffredo pointed out in a video shared on his social media in recent hours, where he identified this "provider of death" by the alias 'Samir', who is a "collaborator" of Marcos Armando Duarte, alias 'Pan de Piña', leader of this gang.

Just like 'Pan de Piña' did a little over a week ago, 'Samir' has also been arrested in the town of Daule, located in the coastal province of Guayas. "Both are already behind bars. The boss who tries to replace them will also be captured," warned the Minister of Defense.

"The street for the people and prison for the criminal," emphasized Loffredo, who acknowledged the work of the Police and the Armed Forces for the success of these operations.

The Chone Killers initially appeared as the armed wing of Los Choneros, considered the largest criminal organization in the country. However, over time and after the death of their former leader Jorge Luis Zambrano, alias 'Rasquiña', they fragmented into several groups, each with its own alliances.
