At least one Palestinian has lost their life and several more have been injured this Sunday in a new airstrike by the Israeli Army near a mosque located in the south of the Gaza Strip, despite the ceasefire agreed upon in October 2025 following the proposal presented by the United States regarding the future of this coastal enclave.
According to information disseminated by the Palestinian newspaper 'Filastin', the bombing hit a group of people north of a mosque in Al Mauasi, west of the city of Khan Yunis. For the moment, the military authorities of Israel have not offered any official version regarding this operation.
In parallel, the Israeli Army has reported the death in Gaza of a "global jihadist organizations activist," identified as Saher Nadal Lafti Tsaqr, whom they blame for "delivering weapons" to the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) within the Strip.
"The terrorist invaded the territory of the State of Israel during the massacre of October 7, 2023, and was the driver of the motorcycle that transported Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or to Gaza after being kidnapped at the Nova festival," the military statement noted, accompanied by a screenshot of the moment.
The text adds that the suspect "was recently behind terrorist plans against the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the citizens of Israel, in collaboration with members of the armed wings of Hamas and Islamic Jihad, in violation of the ceasefire agreement."
The IDF has also reported that on Tuesday a "commander" of the Ezeldin al Qasam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, was killed, whom they attribute a significant role in the captivity in Gaza of seven of the individuals kidnapped during the attacks of October 2023, assaults that caused around 1,200 deaths and nearly 250 kidnappings, according to the official Israeli count.
The deceased military has been identified as Muhamad Hamad Muhamad Gabain, who "recently promoted a plot against IDF members and citizens of the State of Israel." "He worked to restore Hamas's capabilities, systematically violating the ceasefire," the Army added in its note.
The Israeli forces have also released a video in which supposedly "a terrorist uses a child to transport weapons to a civilian home" in the Strip and claim that the suspect "used the child as a human shield to transport the weapons and prevent the IDF from attacking him and stopping the operation."
Meanwhile, the authorities of Gaza, under Hamas control, have updated the number of deceased to 1,417 and the number of injured to 4,964 due to the Israeli attacks since the ceasefire came into effect, including two dead and eleven injured in the last 24 hours. These figures are added to 834 bodies recovered in areas from which the Israeli troops withdrew.
The Gazan Ministry of Health has also emphasized in a statement released on social media that, since the beginning of the Israeli offensive following the attacks on October 7, 2023, 74,018 dead and 175,079 injured have been recorded. The agency insists that there are still numerous victims in the streets and under the rubble of buildings destroyed by the Israeli bombings.
